Debra is a former Army Officer who achieved the rank of Major and had specific responsibilities for education and training. During her eleven years service she was involved with recruitment and selection, the introduction of vocational qualifications and initial resettlement briefings for soldiers and officers.

Debra has wide ranging experience in the human resource field and was actively involved in leadership and management of military personnel. Additionally she has managed the careers and development of civil service employees, as well as organising the assessment and employment of overseas personnel for contracted work with the British Army.

Debra has instructed military personnel from all employment types, within the Army, ranging from catering personnel to electrical and mechanical engineers and has some knowledge of the requirements and tasks undertaken within each employment.

Since leaving the Army in July 1998 Debra has been preparing both claimant and defendant employment reports as an associate consultant with HJS Personnel Services. She additionally works as an associate training consultant and associate recruitment consultant. She carries out management and leadership training for large UK companies as well as customer care and interpersonal skills courses.

Debra has also headhunted senior executives and been involved in recruitment interviews. She has run outplacement courses for employees, junior, middle and senior management and directors. Debra has sought applicants for managerial posts and has liaised with both the Regular Forces Employment Association and The Officers Association with regards to finding suitable applicants.
